It contains no sulphur, no added sugar, artificial flavours or preservatives while tasting absolutely divine.
Blackstrap Molasses is made from the third boiling of the concentrated sugar juice produced during the refining of sugar cane.
While only containing a small sugar content, it contains significant amounts of vitamin B6 and minerals, including calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese; one tablespoon provides up to 20% of the recommended daily value of each of those nutrients. Blackstrap is also a good source of potassium.
This dark, smooth and rich syrup is great for mixing in drinks, creating baking wonders and savoury dishes. It can be used as a substitute of brown sugar or golden syrup.
